Jitender Singh [Ghazal Singer]

Jitender Singh is an upcoming ghazal singer and soofi singer of India and have performed worldwide.

Jitender was born in the city of temples-Jammu. Nurtured in an educated and cultured Dogra family (Jamwal Rajput) , Jitender was encouraged, unreservedly towards academic advancement as well as artistic excellence by his parents.

Influence of different Gharanas styles and maestros has helped Jitender to evolve a style that is unique. This sets him apart from other artists. He performs Thumri, Dadra and Bhajan with equal ease and artistry enhanced by the variation of his Murkis, Taans and Khatkas marked by spontaneity.

The promise of an exceptional voice, noted for its power, range and sensitivity attracted attention when he was only a child. After initial training in Jammu, Jitender's voice was modulated to traverse the octave of Khayal by Pandit Mani Prasad of Kirana Gharana in Delhi.

In addition to Ghazal singing Jitender is a very talented " Music Director". He has scored music for many films, tele-serials, jingles, plays, albums and dance dramas.
