Anuradha Kuber [Bhendi Bazar Gharana]
Anuradha is a promising vocalist of the young generation. She is one of the very few performers of the "BHENDI BAZAR GHARANA" gayaki. A devoted student of music since a very young age, Anuradha was specially trained in the gharana gayaki for 15 years by the veteran musician and guru PT. T. D. JANORIKAR . During the training period she learnt all the facets of the gayaki from her guru. A 2 years stay at the SANGEET RESEARCH ACADEMY Kolkotta with her guruji was the highlight of her training phase. It added a different perspective to her musical thought process.
She is endowed with a rich and mellifluous voice which makes her adept at singing both light and classical music with equal ease. Her sweet, seasoned and pliable voice with easy reach in all the three saptaks makes her disciplined exposition of the Raags full of aesthetic and emotive content.

Awards and scholarships
Anuradha has been honoured with many awards and scholarships.Noted among them are-- 'Dattopant Deshpande Puraskar' (Awarded at Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahotsava, Pune)
- Ganhira Award, C. Ramachandra Award and Smt. Mokashi Award for having topped the Master's degree examinations in music from S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai.
- She has also been felicitated with 'Paingankar Puraskar' awarded by Pt. Jasraj Mitra Mandal, Pune
- 'Smt. Usha Atre - Wagh Puraskar' given by Dr. Prabha Atre.
- She is a recipient of the Central Government Scholarship for two years awarded by H.R.D. Ministry, Delhi.
- Madhav Shankar Karve (London) Scholarship for one year.
Academic qualifications
Anuradha has many academic achievements to her credit. She is a graduate from Fergusson College Pune with English literature,French and Indian History as her main subjects. She topped the Masters examinations in music from SNDT University Mumbai. She has received the Junior Research Fellowship from University Grants Commission, New Delhi and is currently persuing her PhD studies. She also topped the advanced diploma course of the French language from Alliance Francaise, Pune.
Light Music
Anuradha is a very competent light music singer. She is an "A" Grade artist of All India Radio. She has performed in many prestigious Marathi light music (sugam sangeet) concerts viz. "Akhil Bharatiya sugam sangeet sammelan", "Shukratara"(with Arun Date). She has been fortunate to have been associated with veterans like Shri. Gajananrao Vatve, Smt. Anuradha Marathe and Shri. Rahul Ghorpade. She has also worked with upcoming music composers like Shri. Chaitanya Kunte. She recently performed in two television programmes on E TV Marathi 'Prabhat Geete' and 'Garaje Krishna Teer'.
New Avenues
Anuradha has been associated with experimental music programmes like-
- Saaz Thumricha : This programme presents the Thumri in the traditional style but with Marathi lyrics.
- Manarangacha Abhal : This is a programme presenting the poetry of great Marathi poets set to tune by Chaitanya Kunte.
- Suran Gao Saras : A concert of compositions (bandishes) like khayal thumri tappa chatarang by Chaitanya Kunte.
